Cybernetics come in a variety of forms and have a variety of different uses. There are many different companies which produce cybernetics as they license much of the underlying technology from E-Leven. To help with this fragmentation they have standardized different tiers for cybernetics so that consumers are aware of the installation requirements of their products at a glance:

Tier List:

Tier 0: Noninvasive/Over the skin

Tier 1: Can be installed by a user themselves or with assistance from a friend

Tier 2: Can be installed by any qualified surgeon

Tier 3: Can be installed by a qualified surgeon with a special license

Tier 4: Must be installed by a specifically trained cybernetician
